My Art

Hello welcome to my blog. This term we have been working on art.
This is how we created our art:

Step 1: We made a character online that resembled us then we printed all of them out.
Step 2: Our next step was to rule lines onto our A3 paper to make an enlargement grid.
Step 3: We got a pencil and we started to draw our characters. We had to enlarge them on to the paper. This took me about 3 afternoons.
Step 4: Once we finished drawing onto paper we went over the lines in sharpie.
Step 5: The next step was to paint them the same colour of your hair and eyes.
Step 6: The last step was to choose a colour background you like and stick it on.

I am pleased with my finished artwork as it looks a lot like my design.

Shantytown reflection

Shantytown

This week we went to Shantytown. We learnt about all the 1866 clothing. I had to dress up and it was hot in the long sleeved t-shirt. We also had to wear a vest and a hat what your hair sweats in but I thought that It was cool. I liked it there and we went on the train. We had a bag of gold and when we got off the train a guy robbed us with a rifle. Then we had to tell the cop what he looked like. And then we went to a court case because there were to drunk people and he had his watch on his table and Jane the cleaner was wiping there table and they thought she stool it but here dad gave it to her before he died. Inside of it had her initials.

Reading Reflection T2W3

WALT: Use what we know to make sense of what we read.
Hello this week we have been learning about the moon. This was a fun and easy activity. Before we read the book we had to record what we already knew about the moon and words that we might see in a book about the moon.  When we had read the book we added new ideas that we learnt. My favourite part was reading the book and writing what I learnt about it.  Did you know that if you made a footprint on the moon it would stay there for millions of years because there is no wind there to blow them away?

literacy term 2 wk3, reflection,

Hello, this week we have made a poster. We had to choose a book and persuade other people to read it. I chose Where's Wally. This was an easy activity and fun. We had to use a catchy question to get the readers attention.  Next time if we do it I will pick a different book. On some of the pages Wally is hard to find.

numeracy, term 2 wk 2, reflection

This is math buddy math on line. This is very good site to help your learning it helps mine. On most of these I got them right.I like this site because it tells you your score and how good you have done your teacher sets you the tasks and you do them.If you don't do  all the tasks its say how much you have to do and they stay there in till you do them. This week we whore doing place value.I think i need to work on my ascending order because i got that wrong. If you don't do this site for activities then you can ask your teacher.

This week on Tuesday the 4th of April it was fun and I liked it. Instead of literacy we did Top Team Games. I did not do the water activity  because I forgot to take a change of clothes but still the water activity was funny to watch. There was lots of activities and I enjoyed them all.

Shipwrecked 40BC challenge

SHIPWRECKED.
BY SHARON UDY
School Journal October 2013 Level 2
Genre: adventure Fiction

This book is a good Journal story and at the start there is a person boating along the Fiji water. Then he hears bubbling sounds and he realises his boat is starting to sink. Before you know it, it was under water! He looked around and then he grabbed a flipper and swam to an island where no one lived.  So then he swam to another one and lots of people lived there.

I rate this a 5 out of 10 because it was good but short.

This book is good for 8 and 9 year olds.

Numeracy Term 1 Week 9 Reflection

Hello. This week I have done this expanding number activity.  We were learning about the place value of digits in 5 digit numbers. It was fun, easy and I want to do it again sometime in the year. I enjoyed this activity, maybe you could ask your teacher for you to do this.  Now I am going to be learning about how to add bigger numbers using this place value knowledge to help me.

Literacy Week 9 Reflection,

This week we have been making  recycled sea creatures for our Grey Main family fiesta. It was fun and easy. My favourite part was painting my creature. I made mine using a handy towel tube, pompoms and tape. Here is my fact file about my recycled octopus.
