This week on Monday we went to a program about road safety. The lessons were inside the trailer of a huge truck. We sat in the cab and beeped the horn. Inside we watched a TV clip. In the clip we learnt what to do keep safe around trucks when we drive.
The important points were:
Wait for big trucks to come to a complete stop before going across a crossing.
Trucks have blind spots so try not go down where they can't see you.
Trucks need lots of space to turn so wait for them to turn before you do.
Hi Luke, this is a very informative post about our visit to the road safety truck. I was interested in learning about the blindspots for truck drivers as I had never really thought about this. Next time perhaps you could extend your post by including a link to the website where people could find more information about this topic.
